A mind for science. A heart for families.
Welcome to Reproductive Associates of Delaware. I look forward to talking with you personally, but in the meantime, let me share a bit of my history with you.
With a lifelong interest in the sciences, I was drawn to reproductive medicine primarily because of the research it involves. But the human side of infertility—the personal, real-life side—soon won my heart as I began to work with more and more couples in their quest to have the families they wanted.
I’m a husband and a father, and my family means everything to me. So to be able to help you grow your family—in the safe, responsible and personal way I believe in—is incredibly fulfilling for me. My partnership with Dr. McGuirk makes it even more so. We share a philosophy of care that I know benefits every family we work with.
For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege to work directly with the academic medical community (including many years at Penn and Yale) as well as national patient advocate groups such as RESOLVE, the American infertility Association, the PCOS Association and PCOStrategies. I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with a major publisher to bring to light a vital aspect of women’s health and fertility throughout the world. Dedicated to the many women who visit our office every day, Healing Syndrome O: A Strategic Guide to Fertility, Polycystic Ovaries, and Insulin Imbalance was published in 2004.

Thoughtful and scientifically sound care with a personalized touch.
Choosing a medical specialty is one of the most important decisions any doctor makes. I decided to become a reproductive endocrinologist because of the amazing results I could help achieve for my patients. The greatest reward of my work has been the ability to form a bond with my patients and to guide them through successful treatment pathways. Success in my specialty means helping patients conceive and deliver a healthy baby using treatments that are best-suited for their individual situation. I cannot imagine a more rewarding profession. Fortunately, due to continuous and exciting scientific advances which have been implemented at Reproductive Associates of Delaware, I can share in the exuberant joy of success with the majority of my patients.
Having had the privilege of training and working in some of the world’s leading centers for women’s health, I have the knowledge, skills and experience needed to offer my patients the best care possible. Upon completion of my fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, I spent three years on the clinical and research faculty at the world-renowned Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia, where the first successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) baby in the United States was conceived.
I am excited to work with you, under the auspices of Reproductive Associates of Delaware, in a pleasant, respectful, ethical, and caring environment. This practice provides consistently outstanding success rates that are amongst the best in the nation, with an approach matching my philosophy for thoughtful and scientifically sound clinical medicine.

Barbara A. McGuirk, MD
Medical Director, Reproductive Surgery
A mind for science. A heart for families.
I’d like to welcome you and take this opportunity to tell you about myself and Reproductive Associates of Delaware. I’ve been dedicated to women’s health since earning my medical degree nearly 15 years ago. My education in obstetrics and gynecology reinforced what I already knew as a mother… that the miracle of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood really is what life’s all about. Seeing couples struggle with not being able to have children of their own, I knew I wanted to help them.
After completing my reproductive endocrinology fellowship, I could have joined any number of established practices. But I intended to provide a very specific kind of fertility care. To give the kind of care I believe in, I knew I had to create a special place and a special team. I founded Reproductive Associates of Delaware and was soon joined by my partner, Dr. Feinberg. We’ve helped grow thousands of families since that time and have maintained our shared commitment to the patients we serve.
Our approach to reproductive medicine centers on you. Your specific health needs and goals for your family guide your treatment here. Whether your personal solution is a hormone or drug therapy, a minimally invasive surgery to resolve your fertility issue or a more advanced option like IVF, you’ll get the care that’s right for you. Throughout your time with us, you’ll be respected, involved in your care and treated the way we’d like to be treated if we were in your situation.
Helping you have the family you want, while providing a wonderful experience for you, one you can look back on with fondness… I can’t imagine a more fulfilling way to offer my expertise in this fascinating area of medicine. It’s my greatest reward.

Dr. Adrienne B. Neithardt
Medical Director, Donor and Third Party Services
A mind for science. A heart for families.
I am very proud to be a member of the team at Reproductive Associates of Delaware (RAD). Drs. McGuirk, Feinberg and Kovalevsky share the same commitments I make to my patients, that is, to find the underlying cause of their infertility and to provide them with the best outcome possible. I believe we achieve this goal at RAD by combining state of the art surgical and reproductive technologies with compassion and care.
As a young medical student I was awed the first time I witnessed the birth of a baby and intrigued by the nuances behind reproductive science. I therefore decided to dedicate my career to women’s health. As I struggled to start a family of my own, I realized that I wanted to help others on their own journeys to start a family. There has been nothing more rewarding than watching the joy people have when their dream to expand their family is close to realization.
As a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility (REI) specialist, I have had opportunities to participate in multiple facets of research, and have enjoyed years of working in private practice. This specialty has provided me the opportunity to work in all areas of male and female infertility and reproductive endocrinology. My experience allows me to help women with ovulatory disorders such as premature ovarian failure and polycystic ovarian syndrome, as well as to successfully perform In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), and minimally invasive surgery when necessary. As the Director of Donor and Third Party Services at RAD, I have a special interest in helping patients who wish to build their families utilizing donor eggs, sperm or embryos or using a Gestational Carrier.
I look forward to meeting you and helping your dream of having a family become a reality.

Dr. Lenore Tietjens-Grillo
Director of the Fertility Wellness Center
As the newest addition to the RAD family, I am excited to lead the new Fertility Wellness Center. I have practiced medicine in Women’s Health for over 18 years and have a strong interest in the impact lifestyle has on reproductive health. I enjoy the challenge of discovering the root of a patient’s problem. My treatment plans frequently include recommendations for changes in diet, exercise and other habits. The new fertility wellness center has given me the opportunity to practice this philosophy of care. Our program will work with women who may or may not have health problems, but do have concerns related to their ability to conceive in the near or distant future. The goal is to help patients improve their current health, so they may avoid future fertility issues. If it is determined that further fertility treatment is needed, the Wellness Center will aid patients in maintaining their reproductive health until they are ready to actively pursue treatment. In addition to lifestyle programs, our center will offer counseling for genetic disorders and future family planning. I have a strong personal interest in genetic testing, especially as it relates to cancer prevention, because of my own mother’s battle with Ovarian Cancer. As I start my new journey at Reproductive Associates, I am excited to be a part of a team that shares my enthusiasm for women’s health. I look forward to educating women about the full spectrum of wellness issues that impact their current and future health and fertility!

Director of Clinical Affairs
As a physician assistant with Reproductive Associates, I enhance your care by working closely with your physicians and nurse practitioners. I am actively involved with many important phases of your initial evaluation, office consultations, testing, and treatment plan. My goals are to provide you with personal support and superior clinical care, along with thorough explanations of each step. You should feel comfortable and confident as you move forward, and know that I am here to help you.
The aspects of my work that I enjoy most are being able to educate my patients, and to provide well-deserved compassion and support. Director of Lifestyle Programs
I have devoted many years of my professional career to women’s health, particularly in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. During that time I witnessed firsthand the joy of families giving birth to healthy babies, along with the frustrations of others who were challenged with fertility problems. As a natural extension of my desire to help families grow, I was thrilled to join Reproductive Associates of Delaware to focus entirely on fertility care.
I value the opportunity to consult with you and to help educate you about fertility care options. Along with the rest of the clinical team, I hope to play a key role in putting you at ease, being readily available for questions, and making your experience at Reproductive Associates as comfortable and compassionate as possible. Susan C. Carr, MSN, CRNP
IVF / Infertility Clinician
I LOVE being a member of the RAD team! I have been fortunate enough to work with this dedicated group since 2008 and it has been one of my most rewarding positions. My professional experience has been focused on Perinatal and Women’s Health. Prior to joining RAD, my career has included working in Labor and Delivery, Newborn and Intensive Care Nursery, OB Triage, and an OB/GYN Office. I have participated in research projects and recently had my first journal article published in a professional nursing journal. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of assisting families during their pregnancies and sharing in the miracle of birth. I have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of pregnancy.
As a Nurse Practitioner at Reproductive Associates of Delaware, I have made the transition from helping women through their pregnancy to helping families achieve a much-desired pregnancy. I personally had challenges with infertility, and believe that experience helps me relate to our patients. I most enjoy my role as educator. I believe that education empowers our patients, helps to decrease anxiety, and increases compliance. I appreciate the time that RAD provides for us to spend time with our patients sharing information and providing support.
Much of RADs vision for the future involves the use of cutting edge technology. My special interests at RAD include Pre-implantation Genetic Screening and Fertility Preservation, which are exciting state –of-the-art programs currently available at RAD. The balance between offering emotional support and education as well as providing advanced technologic procedures makes being a part of the RAD Team an honor.

Katherine M. Haigh, MSN, NP-C
IVF Nurse Practitioner
Although my career as a Nurse Practitioner began in 2007 after graduating from the University of Delaware, I knew long before that I was interested in pursuing my dream of working in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology. I worked as a Registered Nurse for Reproductive Associates of Delaware almost a decade ago, and realized during that time I needed to further my education and work towards a career dedicated to the treatment of infertility.
For the past several years, the focus of my career has been solely on the care of patients struggling with an infertility diagnosis. As a Nurse Practitioner with Reproductive Associates of Delaware, I have the opportunity to work with other clinicians and staff members who are leaders in the field of infertility care. Here, I have the opportunity to follow you through your treatment, every step of the way. I am excited to be a part of the RAD team and help you realize your goal of expanding your family.

Tracy Gardner, MS LCGC
Genetic Counselor
As a genetic counselor, one of the greatest joys of my job is getting to know people of all different backgrounds and histories. I truly enjoy helping couples understand the complexities of their individual genetics. My role is to provide patients with the knowledge and support they need to make the most informed decisions about their care. This includes reviewing a couples’ complete family medical history and genetic testing options. Especially for those dealing with infertility, there are a multitude of choices available to determine patients’ genetic make-up as well as the genetic composition of their embryos. Whether a couple opts for pre-implantation genetic testing while pursuing IVF, or has general concerns about their risk for genetic diseases, I look forward to guiding patients through complex decision making. For the past 25 years my work has been focused primarily on prenatal genetic counseling, so I am very excited to venture into the world of fertility care.
