Employer-Sponsored Plans

Many employer-sponsored health insurance plans take effect January 1, 2019. New or renewed health insurance plans may cover fertility benefits under the Fertility Care and Preservation Law that went into effect July 1, 2018 if they meet the following requirements:

  • Employer is based in Delaware;
  • Has 50 or more employees; and
  • Does NOT self-insure

If you believe your employer meets these requirements, and you are being told fertility benefits are not covered, please email and we will connect you with a fertility insurance advocate to help.
